It is that time of year again, Matadors, where the creative sides of Bolsa Grande’s student body comes out to impress, make you laugh, or freak you out. Each Halloween, Bolsa Grande's ASB hosts its annual Halloween Costume Contest at the Heptagon during lunch. From the Grudge to giant Pikachu heads, from apple trees to ice bucket challenges, and from Powerpuff girls to Alvin and the Chipmunks, our Matadors had surely outdone themselves this year.
After the contest was over, the judges, Mr. Nguyen, Ms. Luna, and Ms. Schroeder, got to work with deciding who would be this year’s winners. This year’s competition was close, but the results were finally announced after fifth period.
This year’s recipient of scariest costume was Yvonne Pham as a dead bride. Next, Jennifer Saint won the cutest costume with her monkey costume with a giant banana. Andrew Nguyen won the funniest costume with his Trash costume. The most creative costume winner was Quinton Ta with his apple tree costume. Finally, the group with the best group costume was Karen Do, Emily Penaloza, Kimberly Ho, Naomi Gutierrez, Jessica Castellanos, and Nyssa Guidangen with their Attack on Titan costumes. Way to go, Matadors!
