One of the newest members of our faculty is Jennifer Doan. She has taken the role of teaching English 2H and English 2P.
Ms. Doan became inspired to teach by her interest in literature and her passion for instilling a love for learning in others. She aspires to become a greater person by seizing opportunities to better herself in her professional life and personal life.
Ms. Doan seizes each and every day, and she understands that all days consist of strifes which only serve to refine oneself into a better individual.
The one thing she wants every student to learn is that “passion drives all. Find your passion and you shall be successful. Also, I want every student to learn how to do an in-text citation correctly, just saying.”
She states that the biggest lesson she has learned in life is, “...the path to success is not a straight line. Rather, the path is filled with loops that go up and down, side to side, and even backwards. Nevertheless, such a path ultimately leads to success.”
Her best experience so far has been the opportunity to call BHGS home once again.
“Once a Matador, always a Matador.”
Her worst experience has been having to deal with her parents and the pressure they placed on her, for they stood against her career choice.
She has cheerfully adopted the title of Matador, she is proud of her Salmon fried rice dish, and she is excited she can now reclaim Bolsa Grande High School as her home.
