Broonie was his name, the sloth that everyone knew at the zoo. If you ask anyone they’d say he is evidently a rad, curious, and adventurous sloth; but that doesn’t escape the fact that he is a little scoundrel just looking for a way to get into some fun.
Broonie knew he wasn’t like the other sloths; they were sluggish with only one thing on their mind: sleep. Yes, all sloths do is sleep and eat their usual leaves as they hang around their fellow sloth friends. But the feelings he developed for the outside world grew year after year; he longed for a life to be lived, to be experienced.
Broonie was so desperate for a turn in his life, to encounter wonderful adventures that would take him to that place in his mind where he has never stepped foot in where all of his fantasies would fulfilled. As he wandered around the zoo, continuously repeating the same routine, he thought of new plans for his future. “The zoo isn’t for me, I belong somewhere great, somewhere better!” Broonie said.
“Hey Broonie are you stuck in your mystical world again?” asked one of his colleagues as all the other sloths laughed along.
“Yes, the mystical world that belongs to me and not y’all,” he said.
“Well hopefully it lasts longer than all your other fantasies.”
Fantasies were all Broonie depended on, but he knew there was nothing wrong with that. He was happy with all his fantasies, and he knew they would come true eventually.
He gathered a short amount of food then off he went; surprisingly the zookeepers didn’t notice him they never expected a sloth would want to escape the zoo. Broonie was a slow little creature, but that didn't stop him. As soon as he stepped down there he noticed a distinct smell that he had not encountered before; at least, not since he jumped into an elephant’s area, which is something we’ll get into later. This surely was not the zoo anymore, thought Broonie. This was something else.
Broonie crawled and crawled, knowing that his life would soon be exactly how he wants it to be. This is finally it; the turning point of my life. YASSS was all he thought! Along the way, he made friends with the nicest spider named Darla and she guided him towards the way out. Then once he came out, he realized that he had made it to the city of Las Vegas! What Broonie didn't know, however, was that it did not take him two hours to climb of the sewers; it had taken him two decades! Oh, what will happen now?
Look out world!
